by Rumer Godden This classic tells the story of what happens when Philippa Talbot leaves her job as a senior civil servant in London for a life as an enclosed nun in a Benedictine Abbey (the Brede of the title). We follow Phillipa's life over a period of about 10 years, from just before she enters Brede, through her time as a postulant and novice, and until she eventually becomes Dame Philippa... This is a very valuable rare book which I am selling reluctantly. Please do not make offers.
