The saree is so precious, it holds all shades of fire. It’s bold yet subtle, soft yet rich, and most of all- it carries tradition.
Well, here is a royal(yes, something a queen would pick) pure gadwal sico Ilkal.
The base is handloom cotton with rich silk borders. A shade like this in Gadwal is almost like finding gold in mine- difficult but worth it.
The saree has a new like sheen and it sits so well you wouldn’t need a safety pin. Just pleat and place, which probably explains why it looks as good as new.
When you look at the reverse of the base, you’ll see the intricacy of the weave. It’s almost like gujarati stitch, really precious- star like.
The borders have a traditional rudraksh line with thayampoo on the pallu.
