This is a handwoven natural grass mat - what we call *Madur, Chatai, or Kusha Grass Mat* in West Bengal.

From your 2 photos:

*1. Material:*
Natural dried grass - most likely _Madur Kathi_ (Cyperus tegetum) or _Kora grass_. The slight golden-green color, uneven thickness of the strands, and the natural spots in 2nd photo confirm it's real grass, not plastic.

*2. Weave Type:*
Tightly woven in plain / twill weave. Warp is cotton / jute thread, weft is the grass. First photo shows the back side - you can see the vertical cotton binding threads clearly. Second photo shows the front / top side with the flat, glossy grass surface.

*3. Characteristics visible:*
- 100% eco-friendly, biodegradable
- Handmade - slight unevenness and natural color variation proves it
- Breathable and cool - traditional use for sitting, sleeping, yoga, puja, summer
