4️⃣Hibiscus 🌺
Hibiscus Propagation Starter (Ready-to-Root Cutting)
Bring the beauty of tropical, vibrant blooms to your balcony! This listing is for a high-quality Hibiscus stem cutting, specifically prepared using a moisture-retaining polythene sleeve method to ensure the best start for your plant.
What You Will Receive:
You are receiving a healthy, carefully selected stem cutting. It arrives to you in a polythene sleeve designed to maintain the high humidity required for successful root and leaf development.
Instructions for Success:
The Wait: Your cutting is in the active rooting phase. Please keep the polythene sleeve on for the next 7 to 15 days.
Development: During this time, you may notice the beginnings of new leaf buds. Once the leaves start to emerge clearly and the cutting feels firm, your plant is ready to be transitioned to a small pot with well-draining soil.
Hibiscus: The Beauty & The Care (A-Z)
Pros & Cons
Pros: Stunning, large, show-stopping flowers; ideal for balcony gardens; highly rewarding to watch your cutting grow into a flowering shrub.
Cons: Can be prone to aphids/mealybugs if kept in dry, stagnant air; requires consistent attention regarding water and light; will need larger pots as it matures.
Care Requirements (A to Z)
Fertilizer (The "Banana Boost"): Hibiscus are "hungry" plants! To encourage frequent, beautiful blooms, use organic banana peel water.
How to make: Soak 2-3 fresh banana peels in a liter of water for 24–48 hours. Strain the liquid and discard the peels.
Frequency: Feed your plant this "banana boost" once every 2 to 4 weeks during the growing season. This provides the essential potassium needed for lush, frequent flowers.
Light: They love the sun! Place your established plant where it can get at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
Pruning: Don’t be afraid to prune! Regular trimming encourages the plant to grow into a nice, bushy shape rather than getting long and leggy.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix. Hibiscus hate "wet feet," so ensure your pot has good drainage holes to let excess water escape.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. In the peak of summer, you may need to water daily; in cooler weather, check the top inch of soil before watering again.
I have packed this cutting with care to ensure the stem stays hydrated during transit. If you follow the steps above, you will be well on your way to growing your very own hibiscus.
